Whole Leaf Aloe Vera Juice Supplement Facts

1. Should I use Whole Leaf or Inner Fillet?
While both products will work well for supporting your digestion, immune system, antioxidants and reducing nitrates; the Whole Leaf products, when tested, showed a slight superiority maximizing benefits in clinical studies performed. The Inner Fillet products have a milder taste.

2. What is the difference between your regular juices vs the preservative free juice?
Our regular juices contain 0.1% of food grade Potassium Sorbate as a preservative like all other aloe juices. The preservative does not affect the potency of the aloe vera. Regular or preservative free, it is just a consumer preference.

I have found the juice helps calm the pain and restore regularity when suffering from diverticulitis. It tastes(sorry) vile even mixed with orange or cranberry juice. I bought the gel by mistake and couldn’t take that at all because of its consistency. Despite it’s taste it works. Within 24 hrs of taking two doses with some fibre powder I am 100% better. I have tried the fibresmart powder without the juice, and it is more effective in combination with your juice to calm the discomfort. Your juice was recommended by a health food store.

    • Hi Steve- Yes aloe has a very distinct taste but you are correct that it is worth it for the benefits. Glad we were recommended to you and appreciate you taking the time to comment on its effects.

I just started using this product (Jan 2015). I drink 2oz with a little water for heart burn/acid reflux and in seconds the pain is GONE! Use it daily: 2oz aloe vera with 2T flax seed for my intestinal issues and have noticed a big improvement in the short amount of time that I have been using.

    • Awesome to hear Patricia! Thanks for sharing and using our products!

I’m jealous!!! I can’t wait to try the concentrated aloe supplement!! A friend of mine (Karen) referred me to this brand. Shes been telling me how great she feels since she’s been using this (religiously) for a month now. Every time I talk to her she’s begging me to try it. I’ve been pretty busy lately ( moving ) but after reading through your website I’m sold before my purchase!! I Will post my review after trying!!

I’ve been using aloe vera juice and gel for 20+ years. I get occasional acid refux and aloe vera has been one of my go to remedies. I started out trying other products but always returned to Lilly of the Desert because of its superior quality. Its a bit more money sometimes but its worth it. The filet is definitely more mild if the taste bothers you. I don’t dilute mine because full strength works better for me. It could be my imagination but if I drink it long enough it seems like my skin benefits from aloe juice. I feel like its healing from the inside out.

I have been off my daily prescription meds for acid reflux for four days. I have been drinking Lily of the desert aloe vera juice for six days. This juice is amazing. To put the icing on the cake I have even lost a couple of pounds in this short time. The taste takes some getting use to. I tried to drink it straight but that did not work at all. I then mixed it with Silk vanilla soy milk and added ice and that did the trick. I have just ordered two more gallons.

I recently purchased your whole leave aloe Vera juice and add it to my juice or just drink it straight. I was reading online that aloe latex may lead to kidney or liver failure. Your product says whole leaf filtered — does this mean your aloe supplement contains the latex prt of the leafas well? Thanks!

    • Thanks, Jan. The ideal way to use the aloe for digestive benefits is to take the aloe 15-30 minutes prior to meals. Hope it helps.

I had been having asthma attacks nightly for 6 months and would be up for 2-3 hours each night wheezing and coughing. Because I have Sjogren’s syndrome, my naturopath had recommended aloe juice to aid with my digestion. I tried it, but didn’t like the taste and stopped using it. One night when my inhalers didn’t help, I went to emerg. and the doctor said that he thought my asthma attacks were related to gastric reflux and Sjogren’s. I decided to try the aloe juice again and have slept through every night since. My breathing issues have decreased incredibly and I have not had to start taking the Prednisone that was prescribed for me. I am thankful for this amazing plant and product and for having my life back! Yay!

    • That’s great to hear, Jenn!

I found out I have a hiatal hernia and my esophagus a little bit irritated dou to acid reflex wich I don’t feel it ,will this juice help to reduce the acid? Another question is if I will lose weight? I am a little bit underweight , will appreciate your response. Thank you

    • Aloe vera helps to balance stomach acid so there is less eruption into the esophagus. If you are on any medications please consult with your physician or pharmacist prior to using aloe. There is not much substantiating science to show that aloe assists in weight loss.

Hi! I have used your brand of aloe in the past and I felt so much better. I mistakenly stopped using it. My question is am I still able to take it after the expiration date I have it in my refrigerator.

    • We would not suggest using expired product as it can now have micro in it.

Hi, I suffer from Essential Tremor which causes a stiff sore neck on a daily basis as well as non stop movement in a no-no shaking motion of my head, I just started this the past week and am noticing I am in a lot less pain and have more energy…:) I really don’t mind the taste. I take the inner fillet one twice a day. What is the difference between it and the whole leaf…thanks for a great product.

    • Hi Kathy- Glad you like the product. There is not much difference between the whole leaf and inner fillet in regards to benefits. Some people notice a taste difference, with the inner fillet being more mild. We typically recommend our whole leaf products more because our independent studies showed that it slightly outperformed the inner fillet in benefits like digestion, detox, and immune support.

Hi Kim McClure…I have been drinking the organic preservative free inner fillet aloe juice for many months and it has always been fine and tasted the same. I recently purchased a couple 32oz bottles from the same retailer I always do and when I drank it the taste was off. It did not taste much like aloe. The exp date says 1/19 so it looks fine. Is there a reason why the taste would change? Depending on the time of year or does that not matter? I hope to hear from you soon. Thank you.

    • Seasonality of the aloe can play a part in the taste. Could you check for the lot # information on the bottle and the UPC barcode? I can send the info to QA to have them double check.

Hi again, I’m the lady with Essential Tremor, I just want to give you an update…I’m so happy, I am taking the whole leaf now and I feel like a whole new person inside and out, I am in so much less pain now in almost a months use…:) I feel like the energizer bunny with non stop energy, I can actually sleep at night now without waking up and am no longer ready for bed at 8 now I stay up until 11pm and am up at 6 in the morning ready to take on my day, my hair feels so soft and manageable since using your happy it’s available at out independant grocery store here in Ontario, Canada and is affordable….I find I am starting to notice a lessening in my shakes…I can’t say thank you enough!

    • That is so amazing to hear! Glad it is working out for you.

First of all I love your juice, I have UC and it has done wonders for me…thank you…thank you. 2nd, quick question, I’ve had my open juice (Leaf) in the refrigerator for about 30 days, can you advise on why I’m getting a little ball of fuzz or ? in the bottom of the bottle? This has happened twice. thank you

    • Hey Julie- Glad you like the product and it is working well for you. What you are seeing is mold start to grow so I am going to guess you have a preservative free product. Do you use it daily? If so, then mold growing should not be a problem that you will see as you should go through the bottle in ample time. With the preservative free products you sort of have to buy the size based on your use.

Hi I love the taste of your aloe Vera…can you tell me if the whole leaf juice comes in glass bottles or is that just for the inner filet?

    • Thanks, Paris. We do have Whole Leaf juice available in the glass bottles. Those are our preservative free juices.

My grandmother (85) has had terrible soreness and irritation in her mouth around her teeth for almost 3 years. She’s been avoiding anything acidic which is a real shame. She loves a good tomatoe sauce or a glass of orange juice. She had been to a specialist and gotten a course of antibiotics but they didn’t help and couldn’t tell her what caused the irritation. When my aunt told my grandfather about the juice he promptly bought a jug. He was happy with how much his digestion improved and my grandmother followed suit. After about 3 weeks of a daily dose her gums miraculously stopped hurting. It’s been 3 years and i’m so happy she found relief with this product. I myself have been taking it for a month now for my chronic skin breaks on my hips (paraplegic problems) and am hopeful for it’s benifits. Thank you so much. I have a whole new appreciation for my old aloe plant sitting on the coffee table. Happy new year from Nova Scotia, Canada. o/

    • Glad your family has had so much success with our products! Happy New Year to you, as well.

Hi, just bought your juice today, big plastic jar, the taste is not as good, but it’s not a problem. I’m just wondering, it says take 59 mg 1-3 times a day, why is it exactly 59 mg and how do I even get this amount? It’s very strange to me, can you please advice me on the dose and what happens if I take more for example? Thanks

    • 59 ml is 2 ounces or 4 tablespoons. You can use it on its own or mix it in another juice or smoothie. It will not affect its potency. You do not want to take more than 8 ounces or 16 tablespoons as you may notice loosened stools. It’s best to try to use the aloe about 15-30 minutes prior to meals.

I have been giving my 6 year old 3 teaspoons 2x a day because he caught a tummy bug 2 weeks ago and keeps saying his tummy hurts. His doctor said to try an antacid for a week, but my son doesn’t like it. So, I am trying aloe. He drinks it with a little bit of Apple juice and likes it. Is it safe for a child? If so, how long can I safely give it to him?

    • Hi there- We recommend our products for ages 13 and older and do not have any suggested dosage for children. You can speak with your pharmacist or physician as to a correct dosage and if use is still OK.

I use your preservative free Aloe Vera Juice for myself whenever my stomach bothers me or if I am getting a cold etc. One of my small dogs had problems with her teeth. They were loose on top in the front. The vet wanted to remove them. I started putting some on her teeth every night with my finger. The gum problem stopped and the teeth are no longer loose. I put it on her teeth every other night now. She eats her food very well now that her teeth are no longer hurting her. I also put a little in my dogs water sometimes too so they can enjoy the benefits.

    • Wow, that is so amazing to hear! Glad your dog is doing better.

I just bought the juice. How much to take daily for constipation?

    • You can start out taking a small amount before a meal, and then increase if you do not see any improvement. Typical serving size is 2 ounces so you may want to start with an ounce at first, about 15-30 minutes before a meal.

I have been using your aloe juice for just 4 days now for chronic constipation. For the first time ever i have had relief from the cramping and pain and have been pretty regular.
I do hane a question about the nutrition values though. I am a migraine sufferer and have battled debilitating migraines for over 50 years. I have started working on the Stanton Protical which is based on balancing sodium and potassium. You list the sodium value on your label but not that of the potassium. Could you disclose the number or is it too low to measure.

    • There is a potassium content of 21.5 meq/L. Hope that helps.

Love the flavor. I usually drink about 8-12 oz a day.

I will occasionally drink up to 32 oz daily for 3 days. It is so soothing. It’s great added to freshly vitamixed veggie and fruit smoothies.

I just bought your product for my husband……he suffers from GERD and COPD. I’ve read tons of reviews and researched every where online looking for all natural remedies for his stomach and picked your product. I’ve read in different sites where is says to take first thing in the morning, 20 minutes before each meal and take at night before going to bed. Is this to much, it’s only 2 oz but I don’t want him to use to much. All the stomach meds they have him on are not working just masking the problem. He’s only been using it 2 days so hopefully I’ll be back in a week with a good report. Thanks for any help.

I suffer from frequent canker sores and was told aloe Vera juice mouth rinse gargle might help. Do you know if it would be straight or mixed with water.

    • Hi Regina- We typically recommend not using more than 8 oz a day. The amount you take each time is different for everyone, but 2 oz is our recommended dose. If he starts to notice loose stools he may need to dial back the amount he is taking.

    • Hi Barbara- Either way should work. Adding some water should not affect the potency of the juice.

What are benefits for digestive issues like IBS? And when would be the best time to take it

    • Aloe helps to balance stomach acidity naturally. Ideally, you would drink some of the juice (anywhere from 1-2 ounces) about 15-30 minutes prior to meals.
