Aloe Vera:Safe Alternative for Your Occasional Heartburn

StomachInZinnias-Safe sm

Let’s face it: dealing with occasional heartburn stinks.  Whether it happens when you eat certain foods or it just comes up out of the blue, you are feeling the burn and want it to go away.  The key to helping ease your occasional heartburn starts in the stomach.  The health of your gut is vital to helping you stay healthy…period.  So what can you do to help?

A common practice is to use a proton pump inhibitor to stop acid production altogether, but recent studies have shown that these could lead to future heart attacks.  Yikes.  Who wants that to happen?  Aloe vera has been known for thousands of years as a digestive aide.  Our Aloe Herbal Stomach Formula contains our own aloe mixed with a variety of trusted digestive herbs like chamomile, ginger root, slippery elm and fennel seed.  This wondrous combination helps balance your stomach acid naturally, not stop its production.   You will benefit from healthy digestion and that will help your entire body stay happy and healthy.  Not a bad tradeoff, huh?

I have been drinking the juice as directed for a few weeks .The taste turns me off. Is there something I can add to make it more palatable?

You can mix aloe with anything you like. You can add it to a smoothie if you like and it will actually help the nutrients of your fruits and veggies.

I decided to give Aloe 80 Organics Stomach Formula (3x concentrate) a try after reading all of the 5-star reviews, especially from people who have had GERD symptoms for long periods of time. How long does it normally take for this ‘miracle’ to take effect? I have been using the product for about 10 days without much impact on my GERD symptoms.

Also, what is the difference between Aloe Herbal Stomach Formula and Aloe 80 Organics Stomach Formula (3x concentrate)?

    • Kim McClure August 20, 2015 at 4:06 pm #

Are you taking the product as directed, a half hour before meals? Our Herbal formula is not a concentrate and has a slightly different blend of herbs. It also has the added benefit of Aloesorb that offers better nutrient absorption, digestive health, immune support, antioxidants and detoxification of nitrates.

I tried to use your preservative free organic aloe juice, whole leaf, in glass, to sooth an irritated stomach from too thin a protective mucous lining, and an ulcer. However, it has citric acid in it and tests acidic on pH paper. Is it supposed to help this type of stomach? I don’t want to use your stomach formula because I need organic, and I’m plastic (bottle) sensitive. Any suggestions?

    • Kim McClure August 20, 2015 at 4:04 pm #

It is a bit more acidic to work more in line with your stomach’s pH, which should be anywhere from a 1 to a 3 on the pH scale.

I almost forgot: I also have been using that whole-leaf, organic, aloe juice in glass, for a stool softener. Need the whole leaf for that.

I would like to use the Aloe vera gel in my smoothy but, what is the quantity for a one cup smoothy? Another question, is it harmful if the bottle of the gel has expired for a couple of months? Thankk! Mary K.

I have been using detox formula. Can I also at the same time use the stomach formula?

  8. Celeste Mann June 27, 2016 at 11:02 am #

Can I use the detox formula together with the stomach formula?

    • Kim McClure June 27, 2016 at 11:05 am #

You can use both at the same time but make sure you are following the instructions and not overdoing it. You should only have about 8 oz of aloe a day.

I have a question regarding using organic inner fillet aloe vera juice. I have had it refrigerated but have not used it in the recommended 45-60 days (but it expires in2019). Is it ok to use it? It tastes the same as it did. Will it be weaker?

    • Kim McClure May 8, 2017 at 10:02 pm #

YOu need to check to see if any mold has started to grow in the bottle. It will look cloudy at first and then you will start to see white lumps. That is mold and you should not drink it.

I have an ear infection that I got a few years ago, that almost deafened me. why couldn,t I put a few drops of aloe juice in my ears, each day. Wouldn,t that cure the infection? Please advise. Aggie

    • Kim McClure May 8, 2017 at 10:01 pm #

Hi Agnes- We have no scientific evidence that putting aloe juice in your ears would be an effective remedy for infections and would advise against trying it.

I recently bought an Organic, Aloe Vera Juice, Whole Leaf, and the original seal was broken/opened and had leaked some. Is it still safe to consume?

    • Kim McClure July 11, 2017 at 8:37 am #

We would recommend that you do not consume this bottle because the seal was broken and the package opened. It is likely that there could be possible mold growth. You should take it back to where you purchased it and request a new bottle.

Hi~I have been using whole leaf aloe juice for about 15yrs now every day for reflux the 30 minutes
before I eat~I wanted to try the stomach formula but notice it has mint in it and I have always read
that mint is not good for acid reflux~will using this formula with mint make my burning worse from
    the mint in the formula?

    • Kim McClure August 15, 2017 at 9:31 am #

Hey Sue- It depends on the user. Most of our stomach formula customers do use it for acid issues. But yes, there are some people who are sensitive to mint. We could send you out a sample of the stomach formula to try if you want to email your address to

Hi I use the Organic Preservative Free Inner Fillet Alor Vera juice. I have recently been reading about citric acid mostly coming from black mold versus citrus. Can you tell me where the citric acid in your products comes from?

    • Kim McClure August 22, 2017 at 10:21 am #

That’s strange. Our citric acid is actually derived from a fermentation of corn and molasses.
